I have to tell you – I’m lucky to have the opportunity to work with Josh and Holly, seriously. I love these two! After debating over shooting locations for a while, we decided to shoot a casual session in the woods, possibly with an old barn… or something.
The scouting began. Honestly, this is where it get’s a little fuzzy – I can’t remember if I invited myself, or if the location was offered up :) Either way, my friend Jerry Havens took me to his parent’s property on Cotile Lake a few miles outside of town the day before the shoot. It. was. perfect.
I briefed Josh and Holly on the location I had found, they were on-board.
We strolled around and shot a ton of images! We played in the grass, an old dock, and in some huge culverts. As my engagement sessions usually go – we had some great conversations, and I learned alot about these two. E-sessions are the perfect opportunity for photographers and clients to get to know each other, which is extremely important for wedding day.
Big big thanks to Jerry Havens, who helped me out with the shoot, as well as providing the location. Thanks Jerry!
Can’t wait for Josh & Holly’s wedding in New Orleans this Spring :)
(And yes, the last image is in a clothes-line)
